The National High Tech Center for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction has launched an initiative to get enterprises in China to make commitments on energy saving and emission reduction.

The initiative calls on enterprises to make sustainability their management philosophy and to protect the environment.

Any enterprise can be part of the initiative as long as it has signed a letter of commitment. The center will help enterprises optimize energy utilization and enhance their competitiveness. The enterprises should report to the center annually about their energy utilization.

The National High Tech Center for Energy Saving and Emission Reduction was founded on December 20, 2007 by the China High-tech Industrialization Cooperation Organization,and is committed to the promotion of energy saving and emission reduction work; and the application of advanced technologies.
