Lhasa in Tibet will set up an environmental emergency center to improve the city's environmental monitoring level and law enforcement.

China Environment News reports that the new center will cover an area of about 20 mu and it will provide multiple services including environmental testing, environmental inspection, handling complaints about the environment, early warning of environmental problems, and incident management utilizing modern technology.

In addition, it will conduct monitoring and analysis on the quality Lhasa's air, water, soil, plants, and noise levels; and publish the results and provide data support for the settlement of environmental pollution accidents and disputes.
