Shell Global Solutions recently launched its Centera portfolio of de-sulphurization products in Beijing which it says will help China to meet its specifications for cleaner fuels with greater production efficiency.

Centera is a portfolio of nonotechnology-based third generation catalysts that can be used for ultra low sulphur diesel production (10 parts per million sulphur).

The latest offering by Shell Global Solutions has an integrated portfolio of clean fuels licensed technologies, catalysts and services, to help refiners in China meet the nation's demand for cleaner energy.

Shell claims that performance improvements in volumetric activity of up to 50% can be achieved with this new technology.
