China Huaneng Group, the largest power enterprise in China, has signed a seven-year medium-to-long term coal supply agreement with China National Coal Group.

Huaneng Power International, Inc. has announced that the 60 megawatt supercritical air-cooling desulphurization coal-fired generating unit 5 of the Phase III Project at Huaneng Shangan Power Plant has been approved to go into commercial operation.

Gaoan Tun garbage incineration plant, the first garbage incineration power plant in Beijing, was put into trial operation on July 28.
