Mazda Holds Environmental Forum In Beijing

12 November 2008 by GreenChinaTech.com Editor

Mazda Motor Corporation and the China Center for Business Cooperation and Coordination together held the 2008 Beijing Mazda Environmental Technology Forum in the Shangri-la Hotel, Beijing.

Seita Kanai, director and senior managing executive officer of Mazda, introduced their long term vision for the future technology development of the earth's environment and the traffic environment. Three research and development technicians showed the latest research results of environmental protection-related technology through three subjects: future power systems, lightweight technology, and hydrogen fuel vehicles.

The director of the China Center for Business Cooperation and Coordination Yuan Pu commented that this forum is in accordance with the government's energy saving and emission reduction policy of promoting environmental products and advanced technology. He added that the forum will further enhance the technical trading cooperation between China and Japan, strengthen the exchange and cooperation between research institutions and colleges, and promote the development of China's automotive sector.

In March 2007, Mazda announced the Sustainable Zoom-Zoom Long-Term Vision for Technology Development to address the environmental issues specific to automobiles. This vision clarified Mazda's stance towards creating attractive designs that please customers, along with an enjoyable driving experience, while improving the environmental performance and advancing the safety technologies of cars.
