U.S.-based SolarBridge Technologies has started volume production of the SolarBridge Pantheon microinverter with Celestica in Dongguan.
"With Celestica as our global manufacturer, we are well positioned to ramp production quickly and respond to upside demand as the market for AC modules experiences tremendous growth," stated Ron Van Dell, president and CEO of SolarBridge.
As SolarBridge begins production of its Pantheon microinverter, the company says it will leverage a very mature supply chain and production infrastructure that already exists for the power supply industry. This well-established manufacturing base, when coupled with the inherent volume advantage of microinverters, enables SolarBridge to ramp to high volumes and achieve target costs rapidly. Production capacity for the Pantheon will increase to over 70MW by the end of 2011.
SolarBridge also announced the opening of an office in Shenzhen to support manufacturing and operations.
